Bury Me With My Brood....

This is a detailed sketch for a painting I am working on for an upcoming show with Friends United Network at Project Gallery in Culver City Los Angeles. The show is titled “Bury Me” which is open to interpretation for all artist exhibiting in the show. I have recently been experimenting with portraiture as well as painted and drawn collage compositions which are summed up in the drawing above… I have been shooting tons of portraits of people in awkward and distraught poses and have been painting and drawing them out, exploring the vulnerability of the subjects in relation to their surroundings…
